About
My name is Alex Boardman. I'm 16 years old and live in Vancouver, Canada. I am a Canadian citizen with my father having British citizenship. I started playing football at a very young age. Currently, I play for Altitude FC U21 and have played for VanCity Pro Football Academy in the British Columbia Ultra Soccer League, as well as for Mountain United Football Club in the British Columbia Soccer Premier League.
In my early years, my position was right wing. As I developed my technical skills and became smarter about the game I started to play at the number 10 (centre attacking midfield) and striker position as well as right wing. I'm a very versatile player, I have played and trained for every position and experienced how they all complement one another. I run the 40m in 5.05 seconds.
I am predominantly right-footed but very good with my left foot. I practice a minimum of 4 sessions a week and have 1-2 games on the weekend. I have a strength training and SAQ program that I work on 3 days a week. I have many qualities including the vision and intelligence of the game, leadership, passing, dribbling, and most of all I have passion for the game. In addition to playing, I have also been a referee for the past two years. This opportunity has given me a different appreciation and understanding for how the game is played.
This year my senior school soccer team won BC Provincials and I was awarded MVP of the AA BC Provincial tournament. In 2024, my team won our spring league and the BC U21 Challenge Cup.
